VITA stands for Volunteer Income Tax Assistance and the program is available for a few more weeks during the 2023 tax season. Through the VITA program you’ll be able to meet with IRS trained volunteers who can prepare and then e-file your taxes for you for free.
Here’s how to determine if you qualify: you may be eligible if your income was less than $60,000 in 2023, if you’re a person with disabilities, or if you’re a limited English-speaking taxpayer. Check out the website for full details on eligibility.
