Elementary School Student Brings Knife to School in Columbia County
A Brookwood Elementary School student on Old Belair Road in Grovetown was spotted with a knife in his possession at school today.
The student was reportedly showing the knife to other students when it was spotted. School administrators and school resource officer were notified and it was confiscated.
Officials say no direct threats were made to any students or staff, but administrators say the student will be held accountable according to the code of conduct.
A news release said, “There was no disruption to the school day and operations continued as normal.”
It’s not known where the student got the knife.
