Georgia’s Stetson Bennett is among the list of the Heisman Finalists. Bennett along with TCU’s Max Duggan, Ohio State’s CJ Stroud and USC’s Caleb Williams have been invited to Saturday’s ceremony in New York City.

Coach Kirby Smart has been pleased with Bennett’s progress and play this season and in Saturday’s game against LSU. He share his thoughts with dawgnation.com

“I think it’s one of those things, this guy’s 23 of 29 in the second half, I mean, he didn’t get to do a whole lot in the second half, so I don’t know what he was in the first half,” Smart said.

Bennett guided the Bulldogs to their first SEC Championship since 2017. This season he has thrown for 20 touchdowns and 3,425 yards. He is also a finalist for the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award and the Burlsworth Trophy, which goes to the nation’s top player who began their career as a walk-on.
