Roderick Robinson Flips Football Commitment To Georgia
The AP Writers weren’t the only people impressed with Georgia on Saturday with their win over Auburn. On Monday, 4-star running back Roderick Robinson flipped his commitment from UCLA to Georgia.
According to dawgnation.com, Robinson was in Athens on Saturday to watch the game. Although this was his only visit to the UGA campus, it made a big enough impression for the sought-after running back to make the decision to change his mind.
“After much prayer and discussion with my family, I have decided to recommit from UCLA football and commit to UGA football,” he said in his commitment tweet. “I am so grateful to UCLA and the many other schools for offering me the opportunity to further extend my education and continue my football career. However, I felt that UGA was the right fit for me. I will be officially shutting down my recruitment. Go ‘Dawgs!”
With the commitment, the Bulldogs add to their already strong running game. Another Robinson had a huge performance on Saturday. Freshman Brandon Robinson was named SEC Freshman of the Week. He rushed for 98 yards and had a touchdown on Saturday.
The No. 1 Dawgs will host Vanderbilt on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. WGAC ‘s coverage begins at 11:30 a.m.
