Advance Voting For The November 5 General Election Begins October 15 In Georgia
Advance voting begins Tuesday, October 15, in Georgia for the November 5 General Election, which promises to be a fight to the finish in the presidential race.
Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris are hard at it campaigning from coast-to-coast in these final three weeks before we learn who will become the 47th president of the United States.
As of Saturday, October 12, early voting had already started in Arizona, California, Indiana, Maine, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, Ohio, South Dakota, Vermont, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia and Wyoming.
Tuesday, October 15, early voting begins in Georgia. State law requires local elections officials to allow early in-person voting beginning on the fourth Monday prior to a primary or election. It ends on the Friday immediately prior to Election Day, which is November 1.

- Henry Brigham Community Center at 2463 Golden Camp Road
- Robert Howard Community Center at 103 Diamond Lakes Way
- Warren Road Recreation Center at 300 Warren Road
Hours for advance voting in Richmond County are from 8:30 am-6:00 pm weekdays. Saturday voting will be available October 19 and October 26 from 8:30 am-6:00 pm. There will be advance voting on one Sunday, October 27, in the Linda Beazley Room in the Municipal Building only from 8:30 am-6:00 pm.

- The Former Euchee Creek Library at 5907 Euchee Creek Drive in Grovetown
- Columbia County Board of Education Support Complex at 4395 River Watch Parkway in Evans
Hours for advance voting in Columbia County are from 8:00 am-5:00 pm weekdays. Saturday voting will be available October 19 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm and October 26 from 9:00 am-6:00 pm. There will be no Sunday voting in Columbia County. October 28-November 1 hours for advance voting will be from 8:00 am-6:00 pm.

What You Need to Bring When You Vote
- A photo ID: acceptable forms include any valid state or federal government issued photo ID; Georgia driver’s license, even if it’s expired; valid employee photo ID from any branch, department, agency, or entity of the U.S. Government, Georgia, or any country, municipality, board, authority or other entity of the state
- Valid U.S. passport ID
- Valid US military photo ID containing a photograph of the voter
- Student photo ID card issued by a Georgia public college, university or technical school
- Valid tribal photo ID containing your photograph
- Voters without ID: If you are unable to provide ID, you will be able to vote a provisional ballot. You will need to provide a copy of your ID within three days after the election to your County Board of Elections and Registration. As long as you do so, your provisional ballot will be counted, as long as your are otherwise eligible to vote.
In South Carolina, the deadline to register to vote in the November 5 election was extended to today, October 15, due to Hurricane Helene.
Early voting will be held from October 21-November 2.
