The body of a man who was reported missing February 2 in Richmond County has been found.

The Richmond County Sheriff's Office says the body of 45-year-old Kendall Brown was found today in a heavily wooded area on Patriot Drive in Hephzibah.

Coroner Mark Bowen pronounced Brown dead at the scene at 2:15 pm.  An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the cause and manner of his death.

Brown at one time worked for the Sheriff's Office as an investigator.  He was last seen at Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church at 2526 Lumpkin Road in Augusta on January 28.

"Brown possibly left his residence on foot in the 1000 block of Patriot Drive in Hephzibah between January 30 and February 2," according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office.  His body was found today not far from his home.

The Columbia County Sheriff's Office was asked to join in the search over the weekend for Brown, using drones that have infrared technology.  Richmond County deputies were out searching again Monday, but had to halt their search due to the weather.

Brown's disappearance and death are under investigation.

Demon Parrish hasn't been seen in Augusta since January 8 and his family is still pleading for information that could help authorities find him.

The 31-year-old local hair stylist was last seen on Mill Street wearing pink sweat pants and a black hoodie.  He was last active on social media January 9 and his mother reported him missing the following day.  Authorities found Parrish's car in the parking lot of Antioch Baptist Church at Augusta Avenue and Florence Street, but still no signs of him.  His family asked the community to join in a search for him around the church, but there were no leads as a result.  A $10,000 reward is being offered for information that will help investigators solve the case.

Man Wanted for Questioning in the Disappearance of Parrish
