Murder-Suicide Under Investigation in Evans
Man and Woman Dead in Columbia County from Murder-Suicide
A man and woman are dead, as a result of a murder-suicide Sunday afternoon in Evans.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office was called to the 800 block of Willow Lake in Evans at 3:45 pm to a report of a shooting.
Deputies found a man and woman in the home between the dining room and the front door, each with a single gunshot wound to the head. They were identified as 51-year-old Larry Jacobs and 49-year-old Tijuana Dent. Investigators say Jacobs had a firearm next to his body. Officials confirmed the couple shared a child, but the age was not given. It’s not known if anyone else was in the home at the time of the shootings.
The investigation is continuing.
