Here’s our Rescue Of The Week Rascal!
He’s a 2-year-old “Rotti” that is awesome. Also, you need to know right from the start, Rascal DOES NOT LIKE CATS! None of them, NO CATS!
Rascal is super sweet, enjoys attention, and will act like he’s attached to you like Velcro. He thinks he’s a “lapdog” and will enjoy sleeping in the bed with you. And he loves playing fetch. He will bring the ball right back to you, lay the ball at your feet, and then nudge it to you so that you’ll throw it again. Hours of entertainment. Here’s the good news, once he wears YOU out, he’s more than happy to play by himself.
Rascal loves the game of taking the “squeakers” out of squeaky toys. He takes treats gently and is housebroken. Rascal is smart and trainable. He knows to sit and leave it. Like many of us, he likes having his rump scratched. He’s learning to walk on his leash and would benefit from a martingale collar or harness.
Rascal is fine with kids and with the large dog he was tested with.
Again, HE DOES NOT LIKE CATS.
The Augusta Animal Shelter is open from 11 am-4 pm Monday thru Friday and from Noon-4 pm on Saturdays.
