SC Lieutenant Governor has COVID-19
South Carolina’s lieutenant governor has been diagnosed with COVID-19. Officials say Lt. Governor Pamela Evette had a sore throat and headache last Thursday and was tested for the virus.
Evette received the positive test result the following day.
She’s been staying at her family’s home near Greenville ever since and says she is feeling much better.
Officials say two of Evette’s staff members and some of her security detail are isolating as a precaution.
Governor Henry McMaster and his wife have both been tested for COVID-19 and both received negative results yesterday.
