Injuries Cause Man’s death at Bridgestone Americas Plant in Graniteville
An accident at the Bridgestone Americas plant in Graniteville claimed the life of an employee Wednesday.
The Aiken County Coroner’s office says 58 year old Andrew Hobbs of Thomson was injured in a warehouse accident around 9:00 a.m. He died about four hours later at Augusta University Medical Center.
Aiken County Coroner Darryl Ables said Hobbs’ death was caused by crushing injuries. An autopsy will be performed Thursday in Newberry.
Officials aren’t commenting yet on the cause of the accident.
