Georgia Governor Allows Bars, Nightclubs to Open Soon
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp signed an executive order today easing restrictions soon on bars and nightclubs, provided they follow guidelines.
Starting Monday, bars and nightclubs can open if they meet 39 measures, including screening workers for illness, regular sanitizing, and limiting occupancy. Live performance venues will remain closed. Amusement parks will be allowed to reopen June 12, provided they adhere to strict operating guidelines.
Kemp also said there can now be as many as 25 people in a gathering, provided social distancing is followed.
School systems will be allowed to start holding summer classes.
Kemp said those 65 and older, as well as the medically fragile, are urged to still shelter in place until June 12
