Man Who Filmed Ahmaud Arbery Shooting Charged with Murder
The man who shot the video of Ahmaud Arbery getting gunned down in Brunswick in late February was charged with murder today.
William “Roddie” Bryan told investigators he began shooting the video once he heard the commotion when Arbery was confronted by Travis and Gregory McMichael as he was jogging February 23.
The father and son were charged with Arbery’s murder last week after the video Bryan shot circulated on social media. The McMichael’s claim they confronted Arbery because they believed he was responsible for a series of break-ins in the area.
Bryan maintains his innocence in the case. His attorney says he claims he had no communication with the McMichaels the day Arbery was shot and killed.
