All Pier 1 Stores Closing
Fort Worth, Texas-based Pier 1 announced Tuesday that it’s going out of business.
After 58 years, the company that specializes in selling home accessories and wicker furniture will permanently close all 540 of its stores.
Pier 1 filed for bankruptcy protection earlier this year, but was unable to find a buyer.
Pier 1 has one store in Augusta on Robert C. Daniel Parkway.
Company-wide going out of business sales will begin once stores reopen. They’ve been shut down due to the coronavirus.
