USC to Hold Online Classes after Thanksgiving due to Covid-19
University of South Carolina President Bob Caslen announced today changes to the fall semester schedule, due to Covid-19 concerns.
The university is cancelling fall break, October 15 and 16, and suspending all face-to-face classes after Thanksgiving in an effort to reduce the spread of the coronavirus. Students will finish semester work online.
Caslen said, “the public health risks associated with thousands of students and faculty returning to campus after traveling for those days could jeopardize the continuation of the semester. These changes are part of the new normal that all of us must embrace as we return to campus for work and study.”
