Georgia Governor Extends Restrictions on Bars, Nightclubs
Bars and nightclubs won’t be allowed to reopen this week in Georgia after all. Governor Brian Kemp announced today he is extending restrictions on those establishments, as well as live entertainment venues, through the end of May. Kemp said keeping them closed will “enhance health outcomes” as he continues to slowly lift some pandemic-related restrictions.
Kemp has allowed other businesses like hair and nail salons, gyms, bowling alleys, stores and restaurants to reopen with social distancing guidelines in place.
Kemp announced today summer camps will be allowed to open May 14, if dozens of regulations are followed. He also doubled the number of children, from 10 to 20, that are allowed in a single classroom in a childcare facility.
