Drug Busts In Wagener And Perry Lead To Three Arrests In Aiken County
Drug busts in Wagener and Perry since mid-January have landed three men behind bars in Aiken County.
Narcotics Investigators with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office shut down drug houses in the 100 block of Washington Road in Wagener and the 200 block of Roberts Street in Perry.
Chief Deputy Eric Abdullah said investigators executed a search warrant January 16th in Wagener, where they arrested 34-year-old James Labront Sanders. He was charged with Possession with the Intent to Distribute Cocaine and Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana.
Sanders was booked into the Aiken County Detention Center.
Then on January 27, a search warrant was served at the home in Perry where two suspects were taken into custody.
Investigators arrested 37-year-old Andrew Sampson and 41-year-old Phillip Michael Ginyard. They say Sanders, who was charged in connection with the first drug bust, was also implicated in the second raid.

All three were charged with Trafficking in Cocaine, Trafficking in Crack Cocaine, Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II (Oxycodone), Possession with the Intent to Distribute Marijuana, Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime and Operating a Stash House.
“We are focused on working in all areas of Aiken County to combat all types of crime. If you are dealing drugs and think you can hide in rural Aiken County, you are wrong,” said Sheriff Marty Sawyer.
Investigators said guns and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized in the drug busts.
Sawyer added, “As the Sheriff, I look forward to working with the 2nd Circuit Solicitor in making sure all criminal cases are punished to the fullest extent of the law.”
He added that the investigations are ongoing and more charges could be forthcoming.
