Highlights From Sunday At The US Open
Here are the highlights from Sunday at the US Open.
It was a gritty performance from Wyndham Clark. It was just last month that Clark won for the first time on the PGA tour. He won at the Wells Fargo, on a course of major championship caliber. Maybe that should have been a warning.
With the crowd, what there was of one, was cheering, praying (if they do pray in LA), and wishing a US Open on Rickie Fowler, it was Clark that played the best. With Rickie, Rory and others fighting and fading back, Clark stood his ground.
For the rest of his life, he’ll remember his 2nd shot to the 14th…his birdie there allowed for a couple of missteps coming in. His pars on 17 and 18 allowed him to claim the medal, trophy, a few million dollars and his first major championship.
