A Body Was Found In Wooded Area Near Doctors Hospital
A body was found Thursday afternoon not far from Doctors Hospital. Investigators now say it appears the cause of the victim’s death is suspicious.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to the 1200 block of Interstate Parkway at 2:24 pm in reference to a suspicious situation.
“Upon arrival, Deputies were advised by a surveyor team that they located a deceased body in a wooded area,” according to a news release from the Sheriff’s Office.
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said the victim’s identity won’t be released until positive identification has been made and family has been notified. He did confirm the victim is a male.
No other information is available yet.
