Stabbing At Charles B. Webster Detention Center
A stabbing at the Charles B. Webster Detention Center this morning is under investigation.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an aggravated assault at 10:00 am involving several inmates.
Stabbing Involved an Unknown Number of Inmates
“Upon arrival, deputies learned that a stabbing occurred and requested the Criminal Investigation Division to respond,” according to a news release from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
An active investigation is underway and authorities say no other information will be released at this time.
Investigators made no comment about possible injuries or how many inmates were involved.
