Fire at Tire Store in Aiken Had Shut Down a Portion of Richland Avenue: Update
Fire at a tire store in Aiken overnight had shut down a portion of Richland Avenue for hours this morning, but all lanes are back open.
The major fire, as it was described, broke out at Jack Rogers Tire Pros just after 2 am today at 1724 Richland Avenue East.
A Portion of Richland Avenue Was Closed
As drivers were headed out this morning, they had to keep in mind that all four lanes of Richland Avenue were shut down from Beaufort Street headed east up to Old Wagener Road for several hours while emergency crews were on the scene.
It’s not known if anyone was in the building at the time the fire broke out, or how the fire started.
The Aiken Public Safety Department says more information will be released as it becomes available.
