A Personal Plea To Adopt Two Sweet Cats
This is a personal plea, to adopt two sweet cats.
It would be wonderful if you would consider adopting these two beautiful young cats. Let me tell you what I know about them.
I look after all of the cats on our block downtown. And over the years, close to twenty, there have been a lot of cats. I carry cat treats in the trunk of my car. Through the years, they have all come to know that. Currently, there are three cats in the neighborhood that are getting treats. Two of them live next door, the other spends his nights with three other cats a couple of doors down.
The Neighborhood Cats
A week ago, last Sunday, I pulled up into the driveway and these two emerged off the patio from the house next door. It too is a rental, and there have been numerous tenants through the years, so I’m never quite sure what’s going on there. I had no idea where these two had come from, but they’re out there, I’ve got treats, it was easy.
They did have collars on, so I wondered where they came from. I gave them treats for a couple of days when our downstairs neighbor shared with me that she thought they had been abandoned by one of the tenants next door. I don’t need to hear that. Sure enough, after talking with one of the other tenants next door, she confirmed, the fellow moved out and just left them.
It’s a boy and a girl. Neither one of them is fixed. But they are the cutest pair you’ll ever meet. Somewhere, somehow, they bonded. They are never not together. The landlord, dealing with the other issues left. And the tenant confessed that they are trying to find either a forever home or a foster home for the cats. But so far, to no avail.
Over the 4th of July, we brought them into our common area, in an attempt to shield them from the noise of the downtown fireworks. The girl, the white one, snuggled up to me. While the gray one snuggled up to her. Also, he put his paws over hers, as if to be holding hands, and letting her know it would be ok.
I know this is a long shot, putting them out on our website in the hopes that someone will see this and be able to provide the kind of life these two deserve. They didn’t deserve to be dumped outside, left to wonder what happened to the life they knew.
