Barnwell Police DepartmentA pregnant Barnwell County Teen was found dead Sunday in South Carolina.
17-year-old Maylashia Shantebia Hogg was 9 months pregnant and just days from her due date when she was found dead along a wood line on Perry Street by Barnwell Police, not far from her home.
An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday in Newberry to. determine the cause and manner of her death.
The Barnwell Police Department, South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED), and the Barnwell County Coroner's Office have all joined in the investigation.
Investigators are looking for Michael Gene Still, who disappeared at roughly the same time Hogg went missing. He was last seen at Colony West Apartments in Barnwell on February 6.
