Driver Charged in Wreck That Led to Bicyclist Death
Richmond County authorities say they have charged a driver in connection with the recent death of a bicyclist.
Fifty-three-year-old Marico Dorsey was riding his bicycle on Olive Road when he was hit by a car three weeks ago. Dorsey died at Augusta University Medical Center last week.
Five people who rushed to help Dorsey were hit by a second vehicle passing by.
On Thursday, Richmond County authorities say they have charged 60-year-old Franklin White in connection with Dorsey’s death. He’s been charged with homicide by vehicle and driving on the wrong side of the road.
