Part Of Old Appling Harlem Hwy Is Currently Shut Down
Drivers on their way home from work tonight may be greeted with an unexpected road closure.
According to WFXG, a tanker truck carrying milk veered off the roadway — And in the process struck several trees.
The area of the highway currently shut down is between Wrightsboro and Powell Church Road.
There are downed trees in the area in addition to fuel leaking from the vehicle.
The cause of the crash appears to be due to the driver of the truck dozing off while driving.
It is not clear at this time when the roadway will reopen.
Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to use an alternate route.
