Augusta Players Perform ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’ for Local Students
The performances began Tuesday, Dec. 3, and will continue through Thursday, Dec. 5. School buses will bring area students, many of whom will be seeing their first live theater show, to watch the production. Cast members promise to make the performance as engaging as possible for their audiences.
“We are going to start the show with an acting game and include the audience as part of the story and get them to come along with us. At the end of the show, we do a talkback where the kids can ask us questions about the show,” said Abbey Strickland, who plays the adult Lucy and serves as the show’s narrator, in an interview with WRDW-TV News 12.
News 12 viewers will also recognize a familiar face among the young cast members: Weeknight anchor and investigative journalist Meredith Anderson portrays Aslan the lion in the production.
