Augusta Man Whose Body was Found in Aiken County Last Week was Murdered
We now know the cause of an Augusta man’s death, who was reported missing last month.
The body of 31-year-old Demon Parrish was found February 17 in a wooded area in the 3500 block of Silver Bluff Road near Atomic Road. The owner of the property discovered the body and notified police.
Parrish was last seen January 8 on Mill Street in Augusta. He was still active on social media the following day, then was never heard from again.
Parrish’s body was sent to Newberry for an autopsy, and results revealed he died from a gunshot wound. His death has been ruled a homicide.
In the meantime, the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to look for 21-year-old Caleb White, who also goes by the name “Honcho,” for questioning in connection with Parrish’s disappearance last month.
White is known to frequent the 1200 block of Augusta Avenue as well as the 200 block of East Telfair Street. The Sheriff’s Office says White currently has an active felony warrant for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property.
If you have any information that could help locate White, contact the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office at (706) 821-1080 or (706) 821-1020.
