Death of Aiken County Toddler Under Investigation
A three-year-old Aiken County child is dead and the cause of her death is under investigation.
First responders were called to a home in the 100 block of Ellen Drive off Durham Road in Jackson around 9:30 pm Sunday. That’s where they found the unresponsive female child.
The toddler was taken to Children’s Hospital of Georgia where she was pronounced dead. The child has been identified as Riley Scott. The cause of her death is under investigation by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office. An autopsy will be performed Tuesday in Newberry.
