Augusta Greenjackets Sold, AGAIN!
According to our friends at WRDW/WAGT the Augusta Greenjackets are being sold, again. It’s the second time in the last year.
Diamond Baseball Holdings, the parent company of the single-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, is being sold by Endeavor Group Holdings to Silver Lake. As with the sale last December, fans will likely see little change. To date, Diamond Holdings has 10 clubs, which had included the Greenjackets.
The deal is expected to close at the end of the year. The new owners, Silver Lake is a global technology investment firm, with more than $88 billion in combined assets.
