Pedestrian Killed on Deans Bridge Road Identified: Update
Police units respond on scene.
A pedestrian killed on Deans Bridge Road in Richmond County just after midnight Thursday has been identified.
Coroner Mark Bowen said 38-year-old Tony Maurice Walker of Augusta was hit near the intersection at Lyman Street.
“Tony Maurice Walker was attempting to cross Deans Bridge Road when he was struck,” said Bowen.
He was pronounced dead at the scene at 12:33 am.
Bowen said no further information was available.
