20/20 Sports With A.B. – The World Series, NBA’s MVP & More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the Yankees and Dodgers in the World Series, plus MVP in the NBA, and more.
Ashley Brown: Well, with the Yankees down 2 to 1 in the third, facing elimination in a sweep in the World Series against the Dodgers, young shortstop Anthony Volpe, his grand slam lifts the Yankees, gives them a lead, and they cruised to an 11 to 4 win last night. The Dodgers still lead the series three games to one, Game five tonight in New York at 8:08.
Nikola Jokic, the three time MVP in the NBA, continues to stuff the stat box. Last night he had 29 points 18 boards, 16 assists Denver in overtime over Brooklyn 144 to 139. Elsewhere, Dallas, Golden State and Sacramento all picked up wins.
Tonight, there are 11 more games in the NBA, including the Atlanta Hawks on the road at Washington.
And in the NFL, Deonte Johnson was just picked up by Carolina this offseason, but he’s now been traded along with a sixth-round pick to Baltimore. The Ravens pick up a much-needed receiver to go with that high-powered offense. Carolina, in exchange, just gets a fifth-round pick.
