Teen Wanted for Augusta Shooting on Monte Carlo Drive
A teen wanted for a shooting June 9 on Monte Carlo Drive in Augusta is still on the run.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says 21-year-old Adrian Hatcher was shot at least one time and is undergoing treatment.
Investigators say they’re looking for 17-year-old Brandon Alexander Francis in connection with the shooting.
According to the Sheriff’s Office incident report, two deputies initially responded to a report of shots fired and one person down in the 3700 block of Peach Orchard Road at the Sprint Food Store.
As deputies were trying to find the victim, they were told he was being transported to a local hospital in a blue Hyundai Sonata.
“At approximately 12:30 am, we responded to Monte Carlo Drive in reference to shots fired. Upon our arrival, we located several spent brass casings in the roadway in front of the residence. We also located blood evidence which indicated that this was the incident location,” according to the incident report.
Shortly thereafter, deputies were told Hatcher was located in the Hyundai Sonata at 5th and Broad Streets and was transported to Wellstar MCG for treatment. His condition wasn’t given.
Deputies talked to a witness who said he believes it was his son who was the victim of the shooting. He told deputies he saw shots being fired in front of his home.

Teen Wanted is a Runaway Juvenile that Could be Armed
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is still looking for 13-year-old Ja’Marion Sales, a runaway juvenile who was last seen January 8 in the 400 block of East Boundary Street.
Sales was initially believed to be with 14-year-old Deriona Lett, who was found Thursday and taken into custody.
Authorities say Sales is known to carry firearms.
