Voter Registration Deadline for Georgia May Elections is Here
The voter registration deadline for Georgia’s May 21st General Primary and Nonpartisan Election is today.
Keeping the voter registration deadline in mind, any Georgia voter casting a ballot in the General Primary and Nonpartisan Election must make any changes or updates to their registration by today’s date, April 22, to be eligible to vote in the
You can check your registration or register online at https://mvp.sos.ga.gov/s/.Election.
If you’re voting by mail, applications can be requested now, as of April 22. You can apply by submitting an absentee ballot request form at www.augustaga.gov/vote.
Applications can be mailed to the Richmond County Board of Elections Office at 535 Telfair Street, Suite 500, Augusta, Georgia, 30901; by fax at 706-821-2814 or by email at richmondelections@augustaga.gov. The last day to request an absentee ballot is Friday, May 10. In order to be counted, voted mail-in absentee ballots must be received by the Board of Elections Office no later than 7 pm on May 21, 2024.
Advance Voting in Richmond County
Advance voting begins April 29 in The Linda W. Beazley Community Room in the Municipal Building at 535 Telfair Street; the Charles Evans Community Center at 1866 Highland Avenue; the Robert Howard Community Center at 103 Diamond Lakes Way; and the Warren Road Recreation Center at 300 Warren Road. Hours are 8:30 am-6 pm weekdays Monday through Friday. Saturdays, May 4 and May 11, from 8:30 am -6 pm. Sunday, May 12, in The Linda Beazley Room only from 8:30 am-6 pm. You must have one of the six acceptable forms of photo identification to vote. There will be no voting on the Monday prior to the election on May 20.
Advance Voting in Columbia County
Advance voting for the May 21 General Primary and Non-Partisan General Election/Special Election will be available April 29 through May 17, Monday through Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm at building G3 of the Evans Governmental Complex at 610 Ronald Regan Drive in Evans. Voting will also be available at the former Euchee Creek Library at 5907 Euchee Creek Drive in Grovetown. Saturday voting will be available at both locations on May 4 and May 11 from 9:00 am-5:00 pm.
Election Day
Election day voting across the state will be available May 21 from 7:00-7:00 pm. All polling locations in both counties will be open.
