People come from all over the world for the golf and the beauty of The Masters Tournament. I still remember the first time I saw the course; it was magical and maybe the prettiest place I have ever been. I mean, everything seems perfect.

A Cocktail Unlike Any Other

One thing that caught me by surprise is how hilly it is. TV doesn’t do it justice. It is a workout to follow the golfers. That’s why it’s always easier when you have a Masters cocktail in hand—Ahhh, the Masters Azalea cocktail, a cool springtime drink everyone wants to try.

The Azalea is an Augusta National Golf Club must-have when you visit these hallowed grounds. This is the recipe, according to the Masters pinterest account.

The Masters Azalea Cocktail Recipe

  • Ice
  • 1 ¼ oz Vodka
  • 5 oz Lemonade
  • ½ oz Grenadine
  • Garnish with Cherry and Orange Slice

Serve in a plastic Masters souvenir cup for the complete experience.

Pimento Cheese At The Masters

If this is your first time on the course, you'll find the prices to be, well, unexpectedly inexpensive. You can eat lunch for around five or six bucks. My go-to is a pimento cheese sandwich with some Masters chips and a drink. The menu is simple, and the food is excellent. Some folks, me included, usually take home a few sandwiches, and you can enjoy a homemade Masters Azalea while watching the tournament at home.

Live In The Moment

Whatever your plans for the day at Augusta National Golf Club, know you can live in the moment. No phones are allowed on the grounds at any time, so leave your device in your car. However, you can make your friends jealous by "checking in" on social media from the Augusta National Golf Club before leaving your vehicle. They'll love you for that!

Have fun, and enjoy your time at The Masters. Now, you can also make your own Azalea while watching the tournament from home.

When he’s not working, you’ll find him traveling the back roads, taking pictures, and searching for the next dive diner. Favorite place to visit? That’s easy. Folly Beach, SC. He’s usually there at least a few times a year. He lives in North Augusta and on Saturdays in the fall, you’ll find him cooking out and watching his Clemson Tigers. Tee likes to write about travel, Augusta local dive bars and diners and destinations in the Carolinas, as well as new business.
