Take Whiskey Home For The Holidays ADOPTED!
A little whiskey at home for the holidays is perfect…
Whiskey is the staff favorite at the Aiken County Animal Shelter. He was left homeless when his family moved away without him, and he doesn’t understand where they went.
Despite that, he’s always happy, has no time for looking back, and doesn’t hold grudges. He’s optimistic, easy going, and doesn’t seem stressed in the overcrowded shelter.
He’s a big puppy that loves to play and has a lot of energy. He loves cuddles and “sweet talk”. He knows some commands, very social, and loves people. He’ll do best with older kids and adults, and friendly dogs who also like to play. He needs daily exercise and fun.
Whiskey is a year old and weighs 66 lbs. He’s housetrained, neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He has heartworms but treatment will be provided at no cost to you.
He’s available for the adoption fee of $35.
Please share this post to help Whiskey find a loving home. The shelter is overcrowded and the need for him adoption is urgent.
The Aiken County Animal Shelter is located at 333 Wire Rd., Aiken. If you would like to arrange to meet Whiskey, send an e-mail to [email protected]. Walk-Ins are welcome from 11am-4pm everyday except Sunday.
So this year, take Whiskey home for the holidays.

I truly can’t believe it’s time to start shopping for the holidays! I mean it feels like the whole summer zipped past me. I’m a planner. I try my absolute best to make sure that when the holiday shopping season rolls around I plan out the gifts I’m getting my loved ones. And that includes my pets. I have an adorable dog named Bailey and a very sassy cat named General Mittens. Yes, it is probably the best name in the world for her. Regardless, I need to make sure I buy them something for the holidays otherwise they’ll feel left out. So pet gifts are a must!
I know what you’re thinking. “What makes it a gift for them? Is it just toys?” Well, no it’s not just toys. In fact, I usually like to go the route of one toy, one treat, and one special item just for them. What makes it a gift for them though? Honestly, I think the main answer to that is that it’s something they’ll get joy out of. The items I chose for this list have that in mind.
Yes, you can absolutely grab your pet a bunch of toys for Christmas. But what about a cute new collar or bandana set? How about a place to hang their favorite leash? And yes, there will be some great toys on this list that I’m sure you and your pet will love. But I also love thinking outside of the box. The holiday shopping frenzy is starting, so as you go into this season, I hope this list helps you find some great new pet gifts for your favorite furry friends!
