It's Timeeeee! The singing, dancing, and acting that is filled with a bit of Christmas spirit.

Augusta is certainly a city that takes pride in the arts, whether that is through singing, dancing, or theatre. Which is a huge plus for the community as well, especially during the holiday season.

Different organizations are sure to put on a show! We have gathered shows that are happening throughout this holiday season including plays, dance numbers, and more in the Augusta area that you might want to see.

Augusta Players White Christmas

This play is based on the 1954 film White Christmas. The musical features 17 classic Irving Berlin songs.

Columbia County Ballet  – The Nutcracker

The magic of Tchaikovsky ’s masterpiece comes to life on the Columbia County Performing Arts Center as the Columbia County Ballet sets this Christmas classic to dance.  The Nutcracker is the story of Clara, a young girl who dreams of toy soldiers battling giant mice and a  Nutcracker doll who comes to life in time to save her.  The Nutcracker then transforms into a handsome Prince and takes her on a journey.  Clara and her Prince travel through a land of snow and into the Kingdom of Sweets where they meet the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Colton Ballet Company  also showcased The Nutcracker during the 2023 Thanksgiving weekend at the
Imperial Theatre

Ron Colton, who is the founder of Colton Ballet, brought this studio to Augusta in 1971. This particular show has been a Christmas tradition for the company for many years. It could even become a tradition for your family in the CSRA.

Behold The Star 

December 16

Creative Impressions youth choir will have their annual showcase “Behold the Star” on December 16 at the AU Maxwell Performing Arts Theater at 7:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 -25. Group and senior discounts are available.
