Augusta National announces Road To The Masters
Augusta National announced on Monday a new wrinkle to this year’s Masters tournament.
On Sunday evening, April 2nd, the eve of the first practice round for the 87th tournament celebrity participants will get together to compete in the soon to be released EA SPORTS PGA TOUR: Road To The Masters video game.
There will be a cross section of participants from sports, entertainment, gaming and social media convening at the Press Center in front of a live audience to play the game.
A full list of participants will be released at a later date,
The game will be available worldwide on Friday, April 7th.
The competition will stream live Sunday evening on www.masters.com, Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.
An edited version of the show will be broadcast on Wednesday, April 5th at 7pm on ESPN2.
The audience will be by invitation only and include the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Augusta and the First Tee of Augusta. Expected guests also include the winners from the 2023 Drive, Chip & Putt National Finals. 2022 Asia-Pacific Amateur champion, Harrison Crowe, 2023 Latin America Amateur champion Mateo Fernandez de Oliveria, and competitors from the Augusta National Women’s Amateur.
