Spring Cleaning Drive to Help Salvation Army of Augusta
A “Spring Cleaning Drive” is now underway to gather cleaning supplies to help families in need who are staying at the Salvation Army of Augusta’s Center for Hope.
Throughout the month of March, Doc’s Porchside locations in Augusta and Grovetown are joining forces with the Salvation Army of Augusta to collect donations of cleaning supplies, with two Spirit Nights planned at both Doc’s locations later in the month.
“We are thrilled to launch the “Spring Cleaning Drive” alongside Doc’s Porchside,” said Major Jonathan Raymer, Area Commander of the Salvation Army of Augusta. “This collaboration highlights our commitment to serving our community and providing essential support to those in need. We are incredibly grateful to Doc’s Porchside for their dedication to our mission and their support.”

Doc’s Locations Hosting “Spirit Nights”
As part of the initiative, Doc’s Porchside will host Spirit Nights at both its Augusta and Grovetown locations. The Augusta Spirit Night will take place March 20 from 5:00 pm to close, followed by the Grovetown Spirit Night on March 27, also from 5:00 pm to close.

Connection to Community Returns in March
People at risk or struggling with homelessness can receive goods, resources, casework and more at the Salvation Army Center of Hope, 1384 Greene Street, on the second Wednesday of every month from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
