Have You Heard About Mally’s Market
Do you know about Mally’s Market?
Mally’s Market opened up the last couple of weeks. It’s run by the T-Bonz folks, and it’s right next to the T-Bonz on Washington Road. If you’ve lived here long enough, you might remember 2860 Top of The Line. For the last decade or more T-Bonz operated it as an event center.
Why I Like Mally’s Market
I stepped in last week to see what it was all about. It’s a few things. It’s a place to order sandwiches and sit and eat. There are a few tables. It’s like a small butcher shop, allowing you to purchase various meats, ribeye, sirloin, T-bone, filets. There are also a few desserts, cakes and such.
There was one product that immediately caught my eye. I need to tell you this first, I believe that T-Bonz has THE BEST BLUE CHEESE dressing I’ve ever had. And believe me, I’ve had my share of blue cheese. I’ve told the T-Bonz folks, if they ever change the blue cheese recipe, I’m gone.
So, I tell you that to tell you this, they’re selling their blue cheese dressing in containers. They’re also selling their other dressings. That’s a BIG plus for me, and I’ll be going back often, especially for the dressing.
Why It’s Called Mally’s Market
Now, why is it called Mally’s? Again if you’ve lived here for an amount of time, you’ll no doubt remember Mally’s Bagels. For years on Washington Rd. and then for a short time, downtown, in the old Town Tavern location. Mally’s was the brainchild of Henry Scheer. Henry is a member of the family that owns T-Bonz. He recently moved back to Charleston, but as an homage to that business, and I love the idea, the new venture is called Mally’s Market.
Again, you can’t miss it. It’s right next to the T-Bonz on Washington Rd.
