Richmond County Deputy Arrested for Domestic Incident
A Richmond County Deputy was arrested April 15 at his home in Columbia County for what authorities said was a domestic incident involving his girlfriend.
Deputy Terrence Driggers was off-duty at the time of the incident, according to a news release from the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Driggers was arrested Monday at his home in Harlem by officers from the Harlem Police Department.
Driggers began working for the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office in 2015 and was assigned to Road Patrol.
Richmond County Deputy Arrested and Resigned
Driggers submitted his resignation today, one day after his arrest.
The Sheriff’s Office hasn’t released any other information about the incident that led to Driggers’ arrest.
“This incident will follow the same course as any other criminal investigation, and no other information will be provided at this time,” according to the news release.
