Georgia Caribbean Restaurant Named One Of Yelp’s Best

If you’re in a tropical place like Jamaica, you know part of the thrilling experience is getting a taste of some authentic cuisine. Yelp recently ranked the best Caribbean restaurants in America and a Georgia Caribbean Restaurant was named among the best for these flavors in the United States.

There are certainly some mainstays that are the first things you think of when you think of Caribbean food. For example, jerk chicken or pineapple-infused “anything.” Add a glass of fresh coconut juice, and you have many of the island essentials.

However, in this tropical part of the country, cooking can be an artform. Furthermore, sitting around with friends and family, sharing some home-cooked delicious food is an important part of Caribbean culture.

In America, Caribbean restaurants seem to have become understandably more popular. In fact, it’s not unusual to even find Jamaica-inspired food trucks in the metro area. In Atlanta, Bussin Jerk ATL is in business every day in locations around the city.

However, if you drive just about eight miles from there, you will arrive at the only Georgia spot on Yelp’s list.

Mo’Bay Island Cuisine In Poole Is The Georgia Caribbean Restaurant That Is Among The Best

Located at 107 US Highway 80 SE, in Pooler, Mo’Bay Island Cuisine is just about 10 miles from Savannah. “Mo Bay Island Cuisine isn’t just a restaurant–it’s an experience that will transport you to the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean,” Yelp says.

Keeping true to its theme and Jamaican roots, the interior is highly decorated in a yellow and green color pattern. In addition, its name, Mo’Bay, is obviously a nod to Montego Bay. Here, you can grab a table and eat in at this welcoming establishment. Or you can easily place your order to go and carry out.

The menu here is extensive and full of options. You can do meats alone, combination platters, or wraps. Their jerk style is among the most popular items. Jerk chicken, pork, bbq ribs, wings, and Caribbean jerk chicken chili are all options that are fan-favorites.

Although these items serve as the featured item, don’t look past all the side dish items that truly enhance the overall plate. There’s steamed cabbage, island slaw, mac and cheese, and various rice options to choose from.

Dessert is also an important part of the experience at this Caribbean restaurant. Bread pudding and coconut drops are only $5.

Overall, Mo’Bay Island Cuisine in Pooler ranked as Yelp’s 21st-best Caribbean restaurant in the United States.

Hole No. 2 – Pink Dogwood – added just 10 yards this year, but those yards could be significant, as they bring a hazard into play that had become mostly irrelevant.
