Georgia: Most Popular 2023 MLB Jerseys Include 4 Different Braves
That’s officially a wrap on the 2023 Major League Baseball season. To reflect on the year in baseball Yahoo Sports recently detailed the best-selling Major League jerseys, and four different Atlanta Braves players made the list.
One fifth of the list are Braves jerseys. Among the all-stars who are featured for having top-selling gear, many of the obvious big names are there. Shohei Ohtani from the Anaheim Angels is number one, of course. With his unprecedented skill-set, and global stardom, Ohtani, even with injury, is a well-deserved spectacle everywhere he goes. Then, among the 20 are superstars like the Yankees’ Aaron Judge (#3), the San Diego Padres’ Fernando Tatis Jr. (#4), and Los Angeles Dodgers’ Mookie Betts (#5).
A very interesting detail to note is that only Corey Seager from the World Series champion Texas Rangers made the list. In fact, from the final four 2023 teams, only Alex Bregman (#9) and Jose Altuve (#6) joined Seager. Apparently no jerseys from the runner-up Arizona Diamondbacks were among the highest sellers. Surprisingly, the same holds true for the National League semi-finalist, Philadelphia Phillies.
Here Is Your 2023 Atlanta Braves Top-Selling Jersey Lineup
- 18th – Ozzie Albies, second baseman who wears #1
- 12th – Austin Riley, third baseman who wears #27
- 8th – Matt Olson, first baseman who wears #28
- 2nd – Ronald Acuña Jr., right fielder who wears #13
In total, the Braves were the team best represented with the top-selling jerseys of the year. That Atlanta faithful have not changed their uniforms since 1987, aside from alternate jerseys and minor tweaks. They have four jersey options to purchase. The home white, the road grey, and the red or navy alternates. In addition to the Houston Astros, the San Diego Padres, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Anaheim Angels each had two jerseys among the year’s best-sellers. California is certainly well-represented.
As for the Atlanta Braves, they remain one of the most attractive teams in baseball. Loaded with star-power, great hitters, and fielders, the Braves are the favorite to make a run next season as well.
