Georgia Chick-fil-A Worked Hailed A Hero After Saving Young Girl From Choking
According to 11 Alive in Atlanta, a Georgia Chick-fil-A employee saved a young girl’s life recently. The girl’s mother calls it a miracle that she chose to stop at the local restaurant to grab food on her way to the grocery store.
Mia, an employee at the Truett’s Chick-fil-A in Newnan, Georgia, is being hailed a hero after springing into action. While in the drive-thru Liliana Leahy heard her daughter choking. In a panic, she got out of the vehicle to help her daughter.
Because of her panic, the mother froze, but managed to scream for help. And that’s when Mia stepped in. According to Liliana, Mia dropped everything and rushed to help the young girl.
Mia performed the Heimlich maneuver on the girl. And it wasn’t long before a coin flew out of the girl’s mouth. It had been lodged in her throat.
Trying To Find Mia
Liliana used Facebook to help find Mia so she could thank her again. She is extremely thankful for Mia’s quick response. She truly feels it was a miracle that of all places, that’s where they stopped for lunch.
Liliana said:
“God, took my wheel to make that turn to CFA, He knew I needed to be there. It’ll take me longer to find help, or even to pull over if I didn’t make that turn. It was like less than a couple of minutes but felt like forever.”
After the coin was dislodged, the young girl was asking for ice cream, and the great employees were quick to deliver!
