Supervision Officer Arrested for Having Sex with a Probationer in McDuffie County
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation says a Department of Community Supervision Officer was arrested Friday for allegedly having sexual relations with a probationer on at least two different occasions in McDuffie County.
Fifty-seven-year-old Bobby Evans of Thomson surrendered to GBI agents at the McDuffie County Jail. He was charged with two counts of Sexual Assault of a Probationer or Parolee and one count of Violation of Oath of Office by a Public Officer.
The GBI says an investigation began in July, 2022 following allegations made by one of Evans’ probationers. In a news release the GBI said, “the investigation is active and ongoing. Once it’s completed, it will be given to the Toombs Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.”
