Body Found in Abandoned Building Identified
Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said authorities have identified a body found Sunday in an abandoned building in the 3000 block of Meadowbrook Drive.
Thirty-year-old Willie T. Ankeny of Richmond Hill Road in Augusta was found with at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene Sunday afternoon. An autopsy will be performed.
The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office says no other information has been released yet.
