CSRA News: Red Cross Promotes Fire Safety
The Red Cross partners with a handful of Georgia fire departments, including Augusta’s, this weekend to promote fire safety.
Their aim is to install more than 1,600 free smoke alarms in vulnerable homes in Augusta, Savannah and Valdosta. It’s all part of the Red Cross Sound the Alarm initiative to install 50,000 free smoke alarms in at-risk communities. In Augusta, there will be a kick-off rally at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the fire station on Windsor Spring Road.
