Aiken County school board members have approved a modified calendar for the 2023-2024 school year.
Students will start school earlier with the first day on July 25. The school year will also end earlier on May 30. A fall break has been added in October and Thanksgiving break will be shorter that year. Officials say there will be a two week break for students and staff after each 9 weeks, with opportunities for extra academic support and enrichment.
