20/20 Sports With A.B. – Marcell Ozuna Hits Home Run, Braves Beat The Reds, and More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about Marcell Ozuna’s home run and the Braves beating the Reds last night, plus Milwaukee clinching a title, and Thursday Night Football.
Ashley Brown: Well, the Atlanta Braves got a home run from Marcell Ozuna and a good pitching effort from Spencer Schwellenbach, who went six strong innings as the Braves beat the Reds 7 to 1. They needed that win to snap a three-game losing streak and also stay two games back of both the Mets and Diamondbacks for the final wild-card spot in the National League.
Braves play at the Reds again today at 1:10. Also, the Milwaukee Brewers watched the Chicago loss to Oakland early in the day yesterday, 5 to 3. That clinched the third National League Central title in four years for Milwaukee and made them the first team to clinch a postseason berth. Milwaukee then went out last night and beat Philadelphia 2 to 1.
Also in football tonight, we’ve got college action. South Alabama is at Appalachian State. And in the NFL, it’s the New England Patriots at the New York Jets. The Jets are a six-point favorite tonight on Thursday Night Football.
