20/20 Sports With A.B. – Monday Night Football, The Braves, and More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about Monday Night Football between the 49ers and the Jets, plus the Braves loss against the Reds.
Ashley Brown: Well, Monday Night Football saw the San Francisco 49ers knock off the Jets 32 to 19. Just before the game, people started getting word that Christian McCaffrey was not going to play in the game due to a calf injury. The backup, though, Jordan Mason, no problem. 28 carries, 147 yards and a touchdown in the victory.
Aaron Rodgers coming off that Achilles injury from last year, a little rusty in the start for the Jets. He threw for 167 yards. Next Monday night it’s the Falcons on the road at Philadelphia for Monday Night Football.
Also in baseball, the Braves fall to the Reds one to nothing. Nick Martinez on the mound for the Reds seven innings of two hit baseball. At one point, he struck out or retired 17 straight Atlanta Braves.
And Paul Skenes for the Pirates becomes just the fourth pitcher to get 150 strikeouts in just 20 starts. The 22 year old, after the Pirates beat the Marlins three two, now ten and two with 151 K’s and a 2.02 ERA.
