20/20 Sports With A.B. – High School Football Games Pushed Up, Braves Win Over The Mets, and More
In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about high school football games being pushed up due to Helene, plus the Atlanta Braves win over the Mets last night.
Ashley Brown: Well, due to inclement weather from Hurricane Helene, several high school football games are being pushed up to Thursday and some even to tonight.
Tonight, you’ve got Midland Valley taking on Brookland-Cayce, Batesburg-Leesville versus Mid Carolina, Barnwell and Silver Bluff -that’s a big rivalry game- Whitmire at Ridge Spring-Monetta, and Central Macon hosting Washington County and Williston-Elko at Fox Creek. And again, there are a few on Thursday as well.
Last night, Atlanta Braves big win over the Mets, 5 to 1. Michael Harris, three hits, including a homer and a double. He also made an outstanding defensive play as the Braves get a much needed victory to open that series.
The Braves now one game back of the Mets and a half game back of Arizona. Those three teams, New York, Arizona, Atlanta, playing for the final two playoff spots in the National League.
Also, Houston clinched their fourth straight AL West title last night with a 4-3 win over Seattle. They were ten games back of Seattle in mid-June.
