In today’s 20/20 Sports with A.B., he talks about the weather’s effect on sports this weekend with round 1 of the Wyndham Championship suspended, the GreenJackets back with a doubleheader today, the Braves suffer another loss, and bad news for the Atlanta Falcons.
Ashley Brown: Well, Tropical Storm Debby is having its effect in the world of sports. Yesterday, round one of the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro on the PGA tour was suspended.
And also for the third straight night, the GreenJackets were either suspended or canceled. They will play a doubleheader. The GreenJackets today at Charleston. They’re trying to snap a 14-game losing streak.
Also, the Braves on a bit of a losing streak. They’ve lost five in a row. Milwaukee completes a three-game sweep over Atlanta last night at Truist Park 16 to 7. Jackson Chourio, the talented rookie for Milwaukie, with two home runs. The Braves are at Colorado tonight at 8:40.
Bad news for the Falcons. A wide receiver they were really anticipating having this year, they picked him up in a trade with Arizona, Rondale Moore. He is out for the season suffering a knee injury yesterday in practice. And the US men’s basketball team is headed to the gold medal game after rallying from 13 points down in the fourth quarter to beat Serbia 95-91. [00:00:55][55.4]
